Repairing Stucco
Repairing cement board or Styrofoam takes about the same effort and costs about the same. We will make either option look like new. The general process is the about the same: re-base coat, and re-finish the damaged area.
Cement Board Stucco Wall Repair:
- We'll repair the damaged section with base coat and if the damage is extensive, we'll add a mesh support system and then base coat
- We have to resurface the entire wall with basecoat to make sure we have an even finish that is ready for the colour. Otherwise you will see where the repair was done... (think of a whole in your drywall and just painting over the hole, it wouldn't look right and you can see the difference).
- Finally, we mix the colour and re-apply it to the entire wall to make the colour even
Styrofoam Stucco Wall Repair:
- Replace the damaged section of the Styrofoam
- Re-base coat the whole wall where the damage was:
- We do the whole wall so that new section blends in with the old wall and you can't see the difference...
- Re-finish coat where we re-colour the wall
SPECIAL NOTE: If we can limit the repair to smaller sections, we'll do our best. Of course we can just repair the damaged area, but this will look like it was repaired unless we do the entire wall from edge to edge. |
